Chloe Lee, my first PhD student, successfully defended her thesis. Chloe joined my group in 2018 and started investigating correlates of peptide immunogenicity. She developed a deep neural network model for accurate prediction of CD8 T cell targets from cancers and/or viruses. Her model allowed us to investigate dynamics T cell response to SARS-CoV-2 emerging variants of concerns such as Omicron. She was co-supervised by Prof Alison Simmons, as such Chloe additionally contributed to a good number of other collaborative projects with members of Simmons' lab.
Well done Chloe, I am very proud of you.
